Notes (1) :
|
LUPUS 6 and 8 appear to be confused in Hara+ 1999, who unfortunately first named them. Their Table 1 lists "Lup 8" with 2 cores near 335.4, +3.6 and a "Lup 6" with 4 cores near 340.9, +6.3 Figure 5 shows "Lup 8" with 4 cores near 340.9, +6.3 and "Lup 6" with 2 cores near 335.4, +3.6 Figure 1 shows "Lup 8" near 335.4, +3.6 and "Lup 6" near 340.9, +6.3 so obviously they switched their designations between the table and figures. I would suggest that the authors meant to keep the nomenclature introduced in Fig. 1 and Table 1, and they erred in plotting Figure. 5. Following this logic, I give coordinates for Lup 6 and 8 below (along with the names of the attendent cores): >LUPUS 6 : this is an ensemble of [HTM99] 28, 30, 31, 32 Currently there are no SIMBAD coordinates. I would use: l,b = 340.9 +6.3 This is the center of the map of the Lup 6 cores in Fig. 5 of Hara+ 1999 (although it is mislabeled as Lup 8)
