Abstract (from CDS):

We measured the secular variation of the 516 s period of the pre-white dwarf PG 1159-035 with new data and a method which measures the change of the period directly, obtaining a positive value: (+13.0±2.6)x10–11 s/s. This new value agrees in sign with the theoretical predictions, but is an order of magnitude larger.
