SIMBAD references

For two stars (R UMi and RS Cyg) believed to behave chaotically, we demonstrate that nonlinear forecasting is possible over a time horizon of about a year and calculate their future light curves, verifiable after photometric measurements take place. We find that the minimal embedding dimension of the dynamics of these stars is three. We tentatively identify the topology of the respective strange attractors, and argue that the presence of a near-2:1 resonance is a direct consequence of the features of these attractors.
