Abstract (from CDS):
We examine the consequences of possible magnetic field changes at neutron star surfaces for different annihilation channels of electron-positron pairs. If during glitch and postglitch relaxation, local modifications in the field strength are induced, then direct observation of changes in the annihilation regime may constitute an important tool to investigate the crust structure of those stars.
