N-body simulations of ring galaxies. Kinematical properties.

Abstract (from CDS):

We present numerical simulations producing models for ring galaxies. The role of the dynamical friction on the final morphology and some peculiar kinematical properties are investigated. Different mechanisms for their formation are analyzed and possible observational clues to discriminate between them are discussed.
