Wolf-Rayet-type central stars of planetary nebulae: Are there pulsations involved?

GAUTSCHY A.

Abstract (from CDS):

Result. of linear stability analyses are presented for Wolf-Rayet-type central stars of planetary nebulae. Such objects are found to be strongly unstable towards radial pulsations, even at high temperatures above 105K. The instabilities are conjectured to be important for the presence of high mass-loss rates observed in some hot nuclei of planetary nebulae.
