Stroemgren photometry of F- and G-type stars brighter than V = 9.6. I. uvby photometry

OLSEN E.H.

Abstract (from CDS):

Within the framework of a large photometric observing program, designed to investigate the Galaxy's structure and evolution, Hβ photometry is being made for about 9000 stars. As a by-product, supplementary uvby photometry has been made. The results are presented in a catalogue containing 6924 uvby observations of 6190 stars, all south of δ=+38deg. The overall internal rms errors of one observation (transformed to the standard system) of a program star in the interval 6.5<V<8.5 are 0.0046, 0.0028, 0.0039, and 0.0056, respectively, in V, b-y, m1 , and c1 . The catalogue has been compared to two earlier catalogues published within the same observing program.
