SIMBAD references

The distributions and abundances of iron, chromium, barium, cerium, and lanthanum on the surface of 17 Com are presented. High resolution spectra in two 60 Awide regions provided 19 lines suitable for mapping with our programs. Individual maps were produced for each spectral line; iron and chromium maps were used to produce average maps for these elements. Chromium and iron show essentially the same distribution; barium, cerium, and lanthanum have similar distributions which differ from that of iron and chromium. The abundances of iron and chromium vary over the surface of 17 Com by a factor of about 100.
