The binary nature of an observed dark galatic object.

DOMINIK M. and HIRSHFELD A.C.

Abstract (from CDS):

The observed light curve of a star in the Large Magellanic Cloud published in (Alcock et al. 1993) cannot be fitted to a symmetric light curve due to gravitational microlensing by a single dark object in the Galactic halo. We show that a binary lens producing an asymmetric light curve can overcome the discrepancy.
