Abstract (from CDS):

T. Puckett and M. Peoples, Mountain Town, GA, report the discovery of an apparent supernova (mag 18.2) on unfiltered CCD frames taken with the Puckett Observatory 0.35-m automated supernova patrol telescope on Aug. 7.21 and 8.19 UT. The new object is located at R.A. = 21h33m52s.27, Decl. = +41o51'01".4 (equinox 2000.0), which is 3".7 west and 6".3 south of the center of the apparent host galaxy. SN 2004dp was not present on nine images taken by Puckett from 2000 to 2003 (limiting mag about 20.0).
