This page allows the definition of many output options used by the data display
in queries.
The best way to use this page is to open it in an separate window, and keep it
on the desk while using simbad. Each time the page is saved, the defined parameters
are avalable for every further query. How long ? For the time of a session
which ends after two hours without a request, if you don't accept cookies.
For a few month, if you accept cookies.
The buttons have the following usage:
SAVE
Save the currently defined options
RESET
Reset the options to the values they had when the page opened
DEFAULTS
Reset the options to the original defaults the page has when it
is called for the first time
The option description has four columns:
the definition of the option or the concerned data type
a checkbox specifying if the data should be displayed for a result page displaying
a complete object (object display). Such a result page is displayed when the query answer contains
only one astronomical object.
a checkbox specifying if the data should be displayed in a resulting list of objects
(list display). Each checked data type will represent one column in the list.
A list is displayed when the query answer contains more than one object.
sub-options related with the option or data type. Depending on the data type, some
options may be enabled only in object display mode, or list display mode.
